Tom Harper, a PhD candidate specializing in China’s international relations, has been working for CEDP as a volunteer for a long time. He had previously studied in Xian, but has never been to Shandong and Confucius’s hometown. After watching the promotional video, he hopes to visit there in the near future once he has completed his studies.

The chairman of BMECP said “it is good to have the promotional machine here in the BMECP and Chinese centre for the general public so that they know what kind of services that BMECP and CEDP provide for local communities and any forthcoming events run by council and organizations locally. The information from Confucius hometown provides interesting information to help people understand China but also helps Chinese community to understand the services provided by the city council and BMECP”.
