Since being created for the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) of 2001, the reputation of the CEDP Arts Group has been built  up gradually. It aims to exchange culture and enhance the social life of the local Chinese community. They not only undertake  the responsibilities of performances for important Chinese festivals, such as Chinese New Year and the Mid-Autumn Festival,  but also are very active on the stages of different organisations, institutions, universities and Chinese community. At present,  there are about 30-40 actors/actresses in different fields including dancing, singing, martial arts, lion dance, dragon dance,  calligraphy etc. Their hard work has made the CEDP Art Group a rather important member in the local minorities artist team.
