Chinese Wellbeing Project
This project is based on the needs from people of both Chinese origin and other ethnic groups, who strongly wish to practice alternative Chinese health exercises such as Qigong and Tai Chi, and wish to know other health benefits of traditional Chinese wellbeing advice.
The general health benefit of practicing Tai Chi and Qigong is enormous. Qigong is gentle and purely for physical and mental health, and is much easier to learn and practise than Tai Chi. Anybody, adult or child, can quickly learn the movements of Ba Duan Jin and Wu Qin Xi, and it does not need much space to practice. It is extremely beneficial, physically and mentally, for people, especially those who mainly sit in front of computers or are texting all day.
The project also aims to offer people other healthy exercises, for example, traditional fan dance, and practical help such as healthy eating and cooking through seminars and workshops. Traditional ways of choosing healthy food to keep you balanced and energetic will be introduced. You can also learn some simple massages points that are vital to keep fit and boost your immune system.
